Doors of Hope Kenya Launches Digital Skills & Youth Incubation Program in Athi River

Doors of Hope Kenya is proud to announce the Digital Skills & Youth Incubation Program, a transformative digital inclusion initiative designed to equip underserved youth in Athi River, Machakos County with practical ICT and employability skills for today’s digital economy. This program will reach 200 youth (ages 15–24) from Kwa Mangeli, Kasuito, Njoguini and Taffom, prioritizing vulnerable youth, young women, youth with disabilities, teenage mothers, out-of-school youth, and unemployed youth. What participants will gain Through a structured, hands-on learning approach, participants will access: Digital skills training (digital literacy, digital marketing, graphic design, freelancing, basic coding) Mentorship and professional guidance to build confidence, career direction, and workplace readiness Job linkages and gig matching, including pathways to internships and online work opportunities Startup incubation support for youth-led ideas in content creation, online retail, and virtual services Program duration and approach The initiative will run for six months, combining community recruitment and needs assessment, core and advanced skills training, incubation coaching, and a final showcase event celebrating youth achievements and solutions.
